LD Chair Presented a Paper in China Congress

Joseph Reylan Viray, chairman of Lakandayang Cultural Association Inc., presented a paper in the 2nd International Organization of Folk Arts (IOV) Youth Congress held in Nanjing, China, October 21-25, 2010.The theme of the congress is “Urban Sustainability and Cultural Heritage”. It was attended by more than three hundred youth delegates from around the world. Mr. Viray’s paper entitled “Blurring Cultural Divisions” recommended that its time to put emphasis on the use of arts and performance to blur the cultural distinctions. He claimed that doing collaborative art production could cultivate oneness and homogeniety.
